An ume in the small, classic size for pickling. Globular fruits are pale, nearly white, with pink blush when fully ripe, which is much later than harvest date for processing, for which it is picked while still pale green. Tsuno has been known and grown for at least two centuries in central Japan.Readily distinguishable from the super-early varieties grown in the Ryukyus. End May. 300 hours. On Citation.
