For several years past, propagated in Southern California under the name 'El Dulce'. One of the most consistent bearers among peaches for Southern California, and of immense productivity anywhere. Fruits are slightly elongated, white, nearly covered with characteristic deep red, flesh white, freestone, very sweet, low acid. A hybrid of 'J H Hale' x 'Babcock' from the former peach breeding program at U.C. Riverside campus. Highly valued in southern counties where late season peaches of any kind are rare; performs excellently also in low-chill areas of San Francisco Bay and Central Coast. Mid August. 350 hours.
