A white apricot bred for Eastern home orchardists. 'Catherine' is the product of apricot breeding at Rutgers University station at Cream Ridge, named for Catherine H. Bailey, their chief fruit breeder. Fruits are rather small and round, white inside and out, very juicy, sweet and aromatic. Profuse and ripen all at once. A fair variety for West Coast locations as well. End June. 700 hours. On 29c.
