One of the great plums by Luther Burbank, and the best to follow Santa Rosa. Fruits are among the largest of old plums, skin yellow, turned almost entirely pink and vermillion by time of ripening. Flesh pale yellow, meaty, wonderfully juicy, with a perfume unlike any other plum. Needs thinning or branches will break under the load of fruit. Released by Burbank in 1907, was planted in a big way in Australia and South Africa a century ago. Survives only at The Arboreum Company. Mid July. On Myro 29C.
