This plum could pass for a tropical fruit. Called the "Mango" of plums by friends, with identically dense, but moist flesh, bright yellow, exterior nearly orange when fully ripe, the flavor includes some suggestion of mango - or comparably exotic fruit. Immense fruits remain attached with difficulty; when fruit start to drop, it is time to gather all the fruits into the house and lay them out on the counter to ripen to a rich orange.
