Kirke's Blue

Dark-skinned plums can often be affected by August heat, and the flesh oxidize in a condition known as pit burn. Kirke's has a novel white-green colored flesh, breaking and juicy, excellent "mouthfeel," with the added advantage of resistance to pit burn. Prolific, though rarely needs thinning. Mid August.
