The white peach 'Miss Lola' was a classic variety throughout Texas in the late XIX century, though unknown elsewhere in USA. 'Miss Lola' has not survived to our times, but a seedling of it, 'Lola Queen', was produced in the Arkansas experiment station in 1920 which we have preserved for its outstanding fruit quality. Size over medium, skin white with pretty pink blush, flesh white, a little pink around pit, light in texture, very juicy, like a sparkling wine. Highly productive and a peach worth saving for home orchardists. Early August. 400 hours. On Lovell.
