A standard variety in the countryside surrounding the Bay of Naples. A seedling of unknown parentage, treasured by a now-nameless grandfather until its commercial discovery in the 1930s, it is still to be found in the markets of Italy. Because of its place of origin, requires modest winter chill and rarely misses a crop. Fruits are over medium in size, deep orange, juicy, rich, suitable for every use: dessert, canning, drying, juice. Ripens after ‘Royal’, mid July. 600 hours. On Myro 29c.
