Paradise

An outstandingly sweet, low-acid peach whose flavor remains memorable for long after eating.  Ranks with Nectar, Pallas and Fei Tao as the great varieties for those who do not tolerate tartness in peaches.  Skin white with pink blush, flesh also white, a little red surrounding the pit.  Like all low-acid white peaches, remarkably juicy, which flavor suggests its name, paradise.  Not to be missed by any fancier of sweet peaches.  A seedling from the town of Paradise, Butte County, California, in the 1940s.  Mid August.  600 hours.  On Lovell.
