A highly regarded bigarreau, fruit decidedly conical, of light purple color, flesh dark red.  Much juice, richly flavored.  Early to early midseason, very productive in every year for us.  A French cherry, originating in the Rhone valley near Lyon at the end of the XIX century.  Beginning June.  On Mahaleb.
