One of the great peaches to come of the Rutgers breeding program, this dates from the 1920s. A medium sized, white skinned peach with bold purple spotting, the flesh is judged today as outstanding as 75 years ago, remains among the very few best of white-fleshed peaches: melting, sweet complemented by a suggestion of acid, juicy and prolific. Tree is problem-free and vigorous in this climate, and performs at least as well as in Eastern districts. Begin August. 750 hours. On Lovell.
